That is the main reason these things haven't been selling. If these companies payed attention to safety regulation and thought about how to share the device without it looking or feeling gross, they would be rich.

first u have to keep in touch with ur patient, u dont really want him totally "distracted"
second the patient won't really get distracted while a 250,000+ rpm drill is running in his mouth
third i can't think of something strong enough to distract the patient, it has to be something really "hardcore" and in such a case things can get really missy
fourth and most important, u and i will lose all the fun of it ;)

just think of the cost of dental treatment and u won't feel anything anymore..
