In order to get refresh rates capable of displaying video, you would most likely find that power consumption would be similar to modern LCD's. The purpose of e-paper is to create a durable electronic book, that uses very little power, & can be updated via a wireless connection, not to replace the LCD. When you are reading you only need the page to refresh about once a minute. 24 times a second would be cool, but it's not the vision of the E Ink Corporation, so don't hold your breath.
