Sears ad shows off two new DS Lite models
Well, it looks like those that have yet to take the plunge on a DS Lite will soon have two more models competing for their attention, as evidenced by this Sears "Black Friday" ad that recently turned up online. As you can see, one of the models is a Zelda: Phantom Hourglass model, although it's a good deal more subtle than the one spotted earlier this month. The other is a metallic pink Nintendogs: Best Friends model, which gets in its cross-branding with equal subtlety. Both models also come bundled with their respective games although, at $150 apiece, those looking for the best bargain will likely be able to do better with a non-coordinated model.

oh, and, fyi: target ads vary depending on your zipcode, just like their prices instore do.
so..
the black friday ad for target isn't the same here in ohio as say.. minnesota, or nyc.
so unless you know WHERE the target ad on those pages came from, you probably won't be able to find those prices in store.

Haven't read much, but isn't walmart threatening lawsuits for releasing/posting the info. Are others not doing the same?
allaina @ Oct 30th 2007 11:27AM
well, technically they can't take any LEGAL action.
i can't remember the legal wording, but, there was a big discussion about it last year, when target's a got out early, though not online; someone had intercepted a store mail package and distributed it.
pretty much, it's NOT confidential information, and it's not able to be considered any real kind of 'street date.'
more than anything, if they find out who did it, they can fire them if they work for the store, but from what i understand, they can't really take any legal action because it was intended for the public anyway.

They are threatening according to the news... Probably not much of a leg to stand on but who wants to go to court against walmart.

Those looking for the best bargain should be going for this deal. A DS is $130 and Phantom Hourglass is $35, that's $165. You get the system with a custom limited edition design and a game for $150.

DS GET!
Seriously, though.. my DS Lite picked a good time to break XD (Nintendo won't replace it, from Japan and what-not.. woo Navy)

That Zelda one is surprisingly ugly and tacky looking. White with a large golden Triforce would've been way cooler.

Do people actually buy these themes?
Just because it's new, doesn't mean it looks good.
The white and white DS Lite still looks the best.
