BTW, what do you mean by "Not quite big enough for HDMI..."? HDMI is a A/V interface, and the you can in fact use HDMI connections on this monitor simply buy using a HDMI->DVI converter ($10 at monoprice.com). Sure you won't get sound, but then the monitor doesn't have speakers, so hence the presence of DVI instead of HDMI. People, stop buying crap. The market is flooded with cheap TN panels. Manufacturers are changing focus to the low end, decreasing R&D and production on technologies like IPS. Cheap is ok, but come on, progress for the sake of progress.

ALL the frills that comes with the 2407WFP by Dell, but is only $500 bucks for the FPD2485W and the FHD2400 is $550 but also has HDMI input.

The FHD2400 can be bought at BestBuy. Im personally waiting till BestBuy sends me some coupons so I can reduce the price even lower. 10% discount means I would be buying it for $500 :D

Im in the same position as you and regret not picking up the 2407wfp-hc for $560, and now Im down to the gateway option. The 2407WFP HC is the first non TN TFT panel ive had and to be able to move around and look at it from almost any angle without discolouration is just incredible.
