Its actually pretty nice and well built. Even the mouse is not all that bad. Calling this "real wood" if it's bamboo is false advertising. Bamboo isn't a wood, it's a grass. Still, it's harder than wood and looks just as nice IMO. I actually would have preferred it if they hadn't stained this at all, and just left it natural.

Bamboo is also much more sustainable than wood (it grows quite fast), so they could have taken the environmental angle with this. This is probably more eco-friendly than plastic, and certainly moreso than wood.
