We saw the same thing with the Xbox360 and hdmi denials, but of course we knew it was coming even through all the denials. In the meantime I tried it out on my lunch break yesterday (the black one is nicer than white) and I have to say I was VERY VERY impressed. It looks great, and it's very speedy. OpenOffice works wonderfully. Really if you need to check your Gmail, surf on Firefox via Wifi, write some stuff in OpenOffice, watch the odd (cough!) downloaded movie - it plays Xvid and Divx - then this is great and genuinely mobile. I thought Win XP would be needed but the version of Linux is loads more fun and snappy. A Vista notebook this size will set you back £1500 ... this was on sale for £216! If you need a notebook for literally just that - taking notes then this is the one. Just read this back, sounds like I work for Asus!

AGG

Comments on Asus denies plans for 10-inch Eee PC, for now

Thumbs down for spamming.

Farris

Comments on Asus denies plans for 10-inch Eee PC, for now

If you check over at eeeuser.com , Vista has been installed on the eee.

From my readings the main problem with running vista on it is cutting down its size - it seems to run at a decent speed if you cut it done to its bones.

Aoedogg

Comments on Asus denies plans for 10-inch Eee PC, for now

Has Vista now caught up with XP?
