Except you can use WiFi for everything other than the Visual Voicemail. In addition to losing texts you also lose voicemail.  That's right, not just visual voicemail but all voicemail is gone.  You will also need to call AT&T to turn off pay per use Internet or the phone will continue to suck on edge data.
