Here's what's happening in China: 1) Japanese and Korean gadget, phone and car makers release sleek, innovative new devices or vehicles domestically in Japan and Korea; 2) Chinese rip-off companies buy one, and return to China where the whole thing is copied; 3) The Chinese companies sell the fake version domestically in China; 4) when the original is finally sold in China, Chinese consumers think the original is a counterfeit of a Chinese original, since the Chinese phone was sold first, and are OUTRAGED at the copyright violation. Counterfeiters cost legit companies about $600 billion per year and growing fast, and the overwhelming majority of it happens in China.

BTW, Is there a way to disable flash content on just one website(this one)? The ads here, primarily that huge one at the top with the flustered PC guy talking to the hip, suave, Mac guy, slow down my browser, inhibiting my "browsing experience". A few minutes ago, the sound turned on in another tab, and started playing several iterations at the same time, and they kept repeating. The browser would barely respond. It took me several minutes to get over to the tab and navigate safely to google.com.

Yes, the first time I saw a PCguy/MACguy ad, I thought it was mocking Apple, and yes, I chuckled, before realizing it was their own ad. Not to display fanboyism here, but one must admit, enforcing the "Mac owner" stereotype in their own ads is a wee bit silly.
