I'd expect a server to be able to hold four drives before going external. This is aimed at the A/V enthusiasts crowd.  These are types that wouldn't bat an eye at spending $20K+ on a home theater. I wouldn't get the home server one though, I would have the big HP home server somewhere else like a garage, and then use a hush HTPC in the media room like it's meant for.<br><br>They build SILENT core 2 duo systems, yes, you can get a core 2 with SSD that has no fans at all, and no hdd noise at all. I Windows home server in rackmount form. How many have a rack system, say, in their family or living room? Instead, the usually would tuck the home server away somewhere out of sight and sound. Thus, the need for quiet and slim design seems out of place.<br><br>Also, why would someone spend $1300 or more for a 1GB based server? I can buy good 2GB packages for $50.
