It's rather nice, with its only weakness that I've found so far being that flash runs, but runs like a hog. If you have a web page (i.e. Engadget), running stupid Apple flash ads, you'll be hard pressed to browse multiple sites on it.

And while I like it so far, I will reserve my final judgment to see what kind of apps are released for it: it's good, but until the software load is hot for it, it's not worth $450 or whatever you'll pay for it.

And as for one question in comments, yes you can make documents from this and save them either internally or externally. I will be trying to use some online word processing sites tonight and see how they run, but generally, if Firefox on the PC can handle it, this can too, since it's got Firefox running. Over the web, it handles Javascript/AJAX, Flash, movies, and for the web coders, DOM, DIVs, and dynamic page creation stuff pretty well. Its able to handle web pages made for ~750 pixels width without any scrolling or zooming, and can zoom from 80% to ... way too close to be practical.

scabby

Comments on Nokia's N810 internet tablet gets unboxed

crap, crap, crap, crap, crap... i owned the n800 and was very sluggish. No proper office suite, everything never leaves beta and if it does they still crash, video never works smoothly unless you spend hours converting all your videos to a lower res. No 3.5G, no IrDA, no tv out, no 3d drivers, n810 has crap gps receiver, you have to pay extra for directional voice guidance for GPS software, unless you know how to port apps(which is not very easy) forget ever seeing your favorite linux app on there, its a brick with potential but little function. only good thing is the screen res... ooo, u say you can remote desktop and run doom or quake and even run kismet, big deal. Nokia say this is "step 3 out of 5" - so they knowingly will release incomplete products - Advice for Nokia: wait till step 5 then release something worth the money. Nokia is worst than apple milking us dry with product release after product release, i hate apple, but at least when they ask for our money, they are confident that the products are finished. It was such a relief when I sold my n800, unfortunately got less than half than what I paid for within 6 months of owning the ugly brick. deja vu anyone?

mex

Comments on Nokia's N810 internet tablet gets unboxed

Re:Semiown Yes you can create/edit documents.
