It got here yesterday, and I'm still waiting for my replacement drum pedal. Rock Band is an awesome game. But, whatever happened to Research and Development? Quality Assurance? Rushing products to market in time for the holidays without putting hardware through its paces pays off for no one. Not the consumer, not your support department or your fiscal bottom line. I'm willing to pay $160 for a game, but I expect it to work. I did cause mine sucks, the ports most often do not work, and will sometimes even turn off in the middle of playing. The hub also really makes me nervous with the exposed contact from the AC adapter into the hub itself. I'm sure some master electrician could point out that it's perfectly safe, to me it's poor manufacturing that the jack doesn't go in all the way. In any case, if you select the hub from the support site, the site simply says "Did you find it in the box? Congratulations! You're done!" Yeah of course I found it in the box, that's why I need help with it, it's a piece of crap!

Kaijin

Comments on

http://www.bsams.net/front-page/2007/11/22/how-to-fix-your-rock-band-guitar.html

read that if you want to learn how to fix it yourself if you dont feel like waiting for EA

brad

Comments on

And they don't ship to Canada. I could turn it off with a bit of tapping... so at least I could play on the high solo keys... but then it started sticking without me even being near the orange fret key..

so I contact EA and get a replacement... 6 days later (amazed because this was right around Xmas day) I get the new guitar... then WITHIN 2 DAYS of using the new one, the down stroke stopped working...

I contacted EA again, who in return appologizes and tells me the new production run guitars are fixed and to request another replacement... (hard to believe since i JUST got a gutiar I would expect to be of this 'new' run)...

So now I'm sitting, with no playable guitar, a total of $250 held in my checking account from EA (that doesn't even include the 160 I paid for the game), and I'm mad as heck.

Honestly, if I get another guitar that breaks within 10 days, I'm requesting a full refund of my money. If refused, I'll gladly work on a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT with the primary offense being that they knew of the problems before launch. I've read so many threads and talked to so many people (players and game shop owners) who knew of the problems well before launch. And yet they insist on releasing faulty hardware.. not just once.. but multiple times... do they think we are stupid? Hopefully that will fix the problem.

By the way, I see the original post was posted back in November. When did people start reporting the guitar problems?
