And XBL has awesome DLC center for GH3, Halo 3, Burnout, etc. I'm not denying people may like a ps3 better than a 360, but I don't. Hey... Okay, I am on a site called Engadget, but still. Must children be entertained 24/7 by silicon? Where's the chemistry set? Where's the model building kit? Where are the art supplies? Where's the thing you hang from a branch on the tree in the backyard that they can climb or swing on or play pirates with? Where's something that gets a child out and off his butt to DO something in this amazing world of ours?

Mike G

Comments on Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for son

You must not be a dad

jeff

Comments on Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for son

Probably over on entivity.com

Tid

Comments on Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for son

thank the terrorist for the lack of cool chemistry sets

dpjax

Comments on Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for son

You expect Engadget to post ART SUPPLIES?! There is a LITTLE DAMN THING CALLED CONTEXT IN PLAY HERE...

Gah, sorry I took the troll bait, but damn. I'm big into active things such as biking, climbing, swimming, etc, but you don't see me complaining that Engadget is listing relevant gift ideas to their own blog, that people come to read for that specific context. And I am also not complaining that the massively overpriced gadgets (like $3,000 electric bikes, for instance) aren't listed as "realistic" gifts.

Andrew

Comments on Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for son

Cowon A3? why?
if its the same person you're recommending the Sansa Shaker for a Clix gen2 should be perfectly fine
but what I'm more surprised about is how Engadget let an iPod slide

JohnTitor

Comments on Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for son

lol...
