If you aren't looking for a Palm OS-based smartphone and don't care whether you're on Verizon or not, don't be a troll and let it go already. Yeah, there are lots of 'pretty phones' out there that do all kinds of stuff.

Yawn.

I am tired of carrying a Palm around and a phone around and the 755P is the first marriage of both that works for me. Yeah, I'll be there when Verizon offers it (and I don't need nor want an iphone, nor Crackberry, nor Juke, nor anything else), and I'll never use Windows Mobile. Oh, and my eyes are too old for a Centro --- that's a kids' phone.

So realize that the 755p is what it is, and if you aren't interested, move along there, Johnny.

Verizon customers, if you can't wait for the Centro and Verizon does in fact release the 755p, unless Verizon completely destroys it, you won't be upset. I myself will be moving on from Palm at some point next year, but will continue to support them. However, why is there so much hate here for Palm devices? I mean, I am definitely a newbie to the smartphone world, having only carried a 700p with Verizon for 6 months, and now a 755p with Sprint for a few weeks, but I must say I am very impressed. Yes, Palm as a company is less than stellar. They make promises they don't keep, tend to sweep stuff under the rug, etc etc. Yes, my phone is not razor thin like an iPhone and it doesn't have some fancy interface like a HTC Touch, but you know what...it's a powerhouse. I can run my entire life from this thing, watch TV from my Slingbox, surf the web, and do countless other things for the $149 I paid for the 755p after rebates. And I didn't buy the phone because I "love" the company or their management style - I bought it because I liked it. That simple.

I don't want to say that I'm offended or hurt or anything like that, it's just that I think people can get a little annoying when all they do is bash Palm devices because they aren't the "cool" thing to have anymore, or because they are "yawnable." Forget the hype - it's all about what works for you.
