When it's for one machine with predictable specs a Linux distro is not too hard as long as you're experienced, it's when you get into multiple possibilities and a desire for it to "just work" that things get messy. (This is not to put the creator down at all, this is great work). eeeXubuntu may be swell, but why should we feel a need to replace the current distro?
