It is a fairly odd shape to put in a pocket.  I bought one because it was the smallest 1GB player on the market at the time (before Ipod Nano), and the included lanyard headphones makes it very easy to wear. In fact, the cube-ness means that it is impossible to put enough torque on it to snap it. Only a hammer would crack it open :-) With the lanyard integrated earbuds and clear rubbery shock absorber wrapper, it has survived two years of abuse -- with only one replacement earbud set required.<br><br>Not the most intuitive interface on the version with the screen, but all she does is press 'play' anyway. The plug on an earphone is about 1/2" deep . So that means one piece is going to be at least 5/8" thick. I suppose the block that contains the earphone jack could also contain the circuitry and battery and then only flex circuits need to go to the buttons.<br><br>Notice on their site they have ipod phones hooked to them. Each new one would only work for a week before it would stop powering on or it's file system would become corrupt and eventually brick.
