I faxed in the sheet, literally a month later I got a letter saying they were going to ship a carton to send it back in. After only two short months of waiting, an empty box with no instructions shows up -just a return label. I send it in, three days later, a new wheel arrives. Quick turn-around, once they get it - it's the 3 months of waiting to get to that point that blows. Also, for being wireless, there sure are a lot of wires. It's wireless to the console, but there is a power cable to the wall to make the rumble/feedback work and then there's the cable from the wheel to the pedals... At least mine came with Project Gotham 3...

nopassn

Comments on Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel now $99

Nice! MS has manufactured the 360 steering wheel market so that this is your best option. i have much higher standards and am willing to pay for them. logitech's driving force pro meets the bare minimum (also $99), and the G25 is pretty much ideal (tho it is $300). at the VERY least i expect a wheel that feels good with more than one game. but you aren't allowed to opt for that experience. it leaves the system without a solid force feedback wheel. if MS must have our money, they should pony up a quality product instead of forcing consumers to pick the best of a bunch of crappy options.

but if you want to play forza with a force feedback steering wheel it's only gonna cost you $180 now instead of $200+. yay.

bo sneb

Comments on Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel now $99

Hope this one doesn't overheat like the other Microsoft Wireless Racing Wheel.

Davsot

Comments on Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel now $99

rndmnme
@ Dec 20th 2007 3:25PM
"What am I waiting for? Gran Turismo 5 and a Playstation 3. Forza sucks, best racing sim on the Xbox is still Sega GT 2002"

Sega GT 2002 is still the best Xbox driving sim? Dude, are you smoking crack. That game blows chunks. I owned the first Sega GT for the Dreamcast and although the graphics were good, the gameplay sucked, especially the brakes. Sega improved it a bit for the Xbox but the game didn't drive right. I'll agree that Forza 1 sucked because the brakes in that game didn't slow the car down but Forza 2 is a big improvement over the first one. They fixed the brakes in Forza 2 and because of that, Forza 2 has to be the best driving sim for a console to date and I'll say that even though I own all 4 Grand Turismos and all 3 Sega GTs.

TriggerHippy

Comments on Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel now $99

TOCA 2 is the best driving sim for a console so far.
