I work at a place where we service various computers. I'm absolutely shocked at the number of Avaratecs that come in needing some sort of hardware fix. Almost every single one has had keys that fell off, fans that have failed, and/or a power supply plug that has shattered. And with each one of those, an unhappy customer who constantly rants about how they will never buy anything with the Avaratec name on it ever again.

I think no matter what, I'm gonna heed those customer's "advice" and stay away. :)

supaneko

Comments on Averatec shows off 12.1-inch 2500 laptop

I had an Averatec once....and I never will again.

Merry Christmas!

kro-bar

Comments on Averatec shows off 12.1-inch 2500 laptop

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

i have an averatec3200, its kind of my second laptop. i use it when i don't want to lug my 15.4 dell around. it works great. only compliant is the battery can be short depending on what your doing(average 2-2.5hr). this looks kind of cool. i might be interested. i like the pick up of an ati video card because the averatec i have has a knock off card in it. and it doesn't really do anything except web browseing and document editing/writing. which for a laptop that size is all i really want anyways. a few games would be nice. im not a big vista fan, i would prolly remove it and put a copy of xp pro on it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

whitespace

whitespace

Comments on Averatec shows off 12.1-inch 2500 laptop

Man, why can't some other good company make a laptop with a paisley print on the top.
