Has anyone see any DisplayPort to HDMI cable, if you can find one let
me know as I am sold.

Wikipedia says DisplayPort is not compatible with DVI and HDMI.

Furthermore, as far as I know most of monitors and TVs are coming with DVI or HDMI ports, and HDMI is compatible with DVI.

What is the reason to buy DisplayPort cards if all equipment comes with HDMI/DVI? Or do I miss something?

1) no, there is lots of software available for mac, anything a PC can do, a mac can also do

2) not a whole lot of software requires a great graphics card, unless your doing 3D work, so your complaint is completely useless

3) a lot of us who are on mac pros can now take advantage of gaming, sort of, which is why apple is a major failure in this department. NO, i am NOT talking about gaming on OS X (lol, you actually think people game on OS X? who does that?) I boot into windows, and then play games on my geforce 7300 GT setup, in fact, i got two of these cards bridged in SLI with hacked drivers. Runs most games reasonably well, but if i try and do something like doom 3 for example, at maximum detail and 2X FSAA or more, i get lag.

Stop spreading ignorance to the public, if you want to state crap opinions because (as it looks like it) you have some kind of personal vendetta against the mac, at least state that in your public opinions. - UDI backers including Apple, Intel, and Samsung.
- Future HD applications using resolutions up to 4096x2160 will need capacity far beyond what DVI can deliver.
- Whilst HDMI and DVI are related, DisplayPort is incompatible with either of them, and even employs its own content protection system (DPCP - Display Port Content Protection)
