While the technologies pretty cool, I don't think anyone would be interested until they pass for normal wireframe glasses/sunglasses. Without the little square projector thing on the side. Now, for a display like that, 1024x768, 80 Hz refresh or higher, 16 bit colour, durability to match a ThinkPad, wireless data and power (I heard about that a while ago, you can get really low powered, low range stuff on wireless power already, more to come eventually), and discrete and lightweight source for the wirelessness, I'd be willing to pay...about $5,000? That's provided they last for at least 5 years. More for longer, but you'd have to guarantee me they wouldn't look as out of style as aviators or Wierd Al glasses. I can picture a world in which airport and tourist information staff wear a version of these, even policemen. (subway, airplanes... work?!)<br><br>2) Can the translucent feature be turned off?<br><br>3) Can they paired via bluetooth or some other wireless transmission method?  This might be a good use for Belkin's new wireless HD standard.. (WHDI?)<br><br>All-in-all, if these produce a genuine large-scale video image, with decent resolution (720p?), they would be amazing to own!<br><br>Ultimate device combo?
