For some reason, we love to look at these future Menlow-based MID devices even though we've yet to find a home for the UMPC in our cold, jaded hearts. And that shiny bar above? Don't get your hopes up kiddo. It's that same slab of non-functional (but sexy) backlit plastic we've seen before and destined for delivery sometime in the next century.

For the same reason every other manuracturer make design mockups...

Personaly I find it rather interesting. Its a good design yeah its a backlit picture but that even get my Movie prop juices flowing.

I mean seriously you didnt think in Heroes future episode they where carrying functioning Iphone units do you? Those where mockups.

I understand why they made a mockup, I was just commenting on the fact that the artist and all of her songs are made up as well. It would have been easier just to use a real artist with real songs.

Yea, could someone start a glossary of these devices cuz it's getting hard to keep up with all these acronyms. I had to dig into past blogs just to get a clue what the f'ing thing this MID crap was suppose to do.

they named the chipset after my hometown.
