We had a pretty good idea of just how large a
32-inch digital photo frame would seem, but it's not until you see this thing up close and in person that you realize just how absurd it truly is. Don't believe us? Check it out below and see for yourself.

is that a girl or a guy in the portrait?
Flashpoint @ Jan 7th 2008 7:08AM
I definately see boobs.
packetsniffer @ Jan 7th 2008 8:33AM
Careful, kiddo, the banhammer could come down on you for that one! That's Veronica Belmont, who happens to be Ryan Block's girlfriend.
I don't know how you guys are rating someone based on a picture of a picture of the person being displayed on an LCD, but FWIW, most people happen to find her rather cute.
Totalfixation @ Jan 7th 2008 8:35AM
I just asked a simple question, and that was that.
iii @ Jan 7th 2008 9:32AM
2 guys and 1 girl, one's on top of the chick and one's on her rear.
now just let your imagination do the work.
MacroEQ @ Jan 7th 2008 7:04AM
Is that a boy or girl?
Flashpoint @ Jan 7th 2008 7:05AM
This looks good for business use - or a very large home, but, in most homes, a photo frame larger than 8 ~12 inches looks gawdy.
To buy a 32" photo frame, is madness. I'd just get a 42 inch television that could view photos on a SD card.
Daniel D @ Jan 7th 2008 7:09AM
Madness? THIS. IS. SPAAARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
James Ollier @ Jan 7th 2008 7:12AM
THIS IS CAKETOWN!!

I'm curious about that comment. If you've got a wall, say 4m long and 3m high, and you stick a 25cm picture in the middle of it, I think _that_ looks odd. IMHO it would be more balanced to put up a square metre of painting or print or whatever - that's what my house is like, anyway.
STUD HUNK @ Jan 7th 2008 7:09AM
One idea would be to have a Big screen LCD HDTV or Plasma that doubles as a digital photo frame.
These technologies can be combined into one versatile item. Probably this will happen next decade as they mature and become mainstream.
It will be intriguing to monitor the development of these items and see how they evolve during the CES of the next decade.

Pretty sneaky way to get a picture of your girlfriend Veronica Belmont on your web site! ;o)

Veronica's a hottie !!!
ak @ Jan 7th 2008 7:55AM
I swear that everyone that thinks Veronica Belmont is so hot has never been outside their bedroom. There are billions of women who rate higher than her on the looks meter. Cute, yes, but that's it.
I guess the whole "geek cred" factor must have more influence that I thought.
macona @ Jan 7th 2008 1:10PM
Bleah.. Average at best.
Itchy Pajamas @ Jan 7th 2008 7:23AM
What picture frame wouldn't look great with the world's sexiest geek in it? ;-)
locke6854 @ Jan 7th 2008 7:44AM
i'd say cali lewis from the geek brief podcasts is a close second... balancing geek and hotness.. its a delicate ratio
Cougar @ Jan 7th 2008 7:26AM
You should tell those guys that Pioneer is showing of a 50" *cough* "photo frame" that is thinner and better looking than theirs. :D
j/k
mike @ Jan 7th 2008 7:46AM
we've got a 34" picture viewer hooked up to the wii...but we call it the TV
captain underpants and the bringdown gang @ Jan 7th 2008 8:55AM
well lets see the MSRP and the res of the screen and contrast ratio etc... if its good enough and cheaper than a TV...just get ben to put in a TV reciver in there.
captain underpants and the bringdown gang @ Jan 7th 2008 8:56AM
and by ben I mean Mr. Ben heck himself.
TMF @ Jan 7th 2008 9:10AM
Am I seriously the only one that keeps reading this company's name as Smartypants?
Juice @ Jan 7th 2008 9:17AM
Veronica Belmont? I call BS. Her name is probably Tracy Zielinski...
Here's another pic.

Cute I guess.
Bill Pytlovany @ Jan 7th 2008 10:16AM
We received a 15" SmartParts Digital frame from Santa and it's great.
I had never heard of SmartParts before but I'm a big fan now.

Veronica Belmont!
Put me down as thinking she's a definite HOTTIE!
Rockin' some pretty sweet boobacles!
Just let me know when you dump that boyfriend of yours...
Ayle @ Jan 7th 2008 10:40AM
....Seriously guys, I have no problem with you complimenting Veronica Belmont but I find fighting over the subject of the picture rather than the subject of the article rather pathetic.
biglou @ Jan 7th 2008 11:10AM
veronica rocks!!!!
Richard Lai @ Jan 7th 2008 11:24AM
I feel sorry for Ryan, having to face these over-excited (and sometimes rude) comments about his girlfriend...
Spyvie @ Jan 7th 2008 12:42PM
I'm increasingly feeling sorry for Engadget's readers
Flashpoint @ Jan 7th 2008 2:41PM
If yout post a picture of your girlfriend on a widely trafficked website, you basically assume the responibility of doing so. YEAH - more than likely, someone's thinking about her while they beat their meat.
Ayle @ Jan 7th 2008 3:25PM
O_o'....
Michael Chastain @ Jan 7th 2008 12:17PM
Widescreen photo frames and 4:3 aspect digital cameras don't mix. It's the whole 8 hot dogs 10 buns thing all over again. It's a pain in the ass trying to make your photos fit a widescreen frame.
