In hindsight, I guess I assumed that a bluetooth headset was for portable devices, because am/was not aware that there might be bluetooth accessories for home devices. If there are, noise cancellation makes much more sense. Of course, again, you risk the inability to hear cries for help or emergency warnings, or such, all the same.
