Sure, clip-on PVRs aren't exactly
revolutionary, but the vast majority of 'em require you to
don some pretty
fugly headgear. The VIEVU PVR-PRO, however, can be placed most anywhere on your person, so long as you're satisfied with the angle at which it records. This little bugger isn't much larger than a traditional pager (remember those?) and can reportedly capture video at 640 x 480 (30 frames-per-second), and while we're not told how much internal capacity is housed, it can store some four hours of content before needing to be emptied. As expected, the rechargeable battery also provides around four hours of usage, and it's not scared to get thrown around / wet either. 'Course, this gem wasn't designed for the casual lifeblogger, as the vanilla model will run you some $500 while the "encrypted police version" goes for two bills more.
It's like an ugly bulky Star Trek combadge.
Nothing says "I'm a virgin" quite like a clip-on DVR. Next to a Star Trek combadge, that is.
What's a pager?

I hope next year's version has a nice sturdy LCD on the back for playback. It's not clear whether audio is simultaneously recorded with the video or not. Audio should included.
Pr0n!
Sounds about right for use as a Dashboard Cam, no?
Or you can buy any budget digital camera for 70 bux and do the same, there are places where you can buy clips to attach them to your clothes too incidentally.
$500 is simply robbery and these people should be arrested.
Well depends on the video quality. $500 is not bad especially for the 4 hours capacity AND more importantly 4 hours BATTERY LIFE how many "little cams" do you know of that will even run for an HOUR on a charge? I am still waiting for the "life cam" 12 hours capacity 12 hours battery life. Dock to auto download and log. come in at night "dock it" it downloads to an external hard drive marking date time duration then in the morning I yank it off the dock and it automatically starts recording. No buttons to "stop" only a start button in case it stops for some reason. thats it. thats what I want :-)
Does this thing record audio?
