In our main clasroom, we have two of the Christie LX55's to display various sources. We paid about 6k each for our projectors and I'm about to outfit two more rooms for a similar setup. I could see purchasing these. The total hardware price of our existing room was right at 100k, which included 4 42" Samsung LCD's, video encoders, PTT mics, auto panning/zooming camera's, and a whole slew of other stuff. I'd have to say that I, and other's like me, are the market for this kind of projector.

Derek

Comments on Christie introduces LX500 professional projector

Yeah... I work for a Corporate AV provider and we use stuff like this. It's meetings, conferences, conventions crap like that that require stuff like this. but honestly this is small potatoes. Barco R12 is the way to go. Christie projos are good, but Barco is my favorite. Even that 1080p christie projo is baby. Check this monster out... 24 inches x 24 inches 10,000 lumens off of a 120volt. Unheard of!

http://www.panasonic.com/business/projectors/d10000-series/index.asp

Joey Villarreal

Comments on Christie introduces LX500 professional projector

Thanks for clearing things up guys!

Superprime

Comments on Christie introduces LX500 professional projector

Check out the pic and the specs and compare it to the Sanyo PLC-XT25. Christie doesn't OEM their "low end" projectors... they rebrand the Sanyo. Granted, they put them through quality checks to make sure they meet Christie tolerances and then extend the warranty, but under the hood, it's all Sanyo, baby.

Dave!
