Oh come on, you have never heard that? Have you read the average apple comment threads (especially those related to the iPhone)? Cracks about it being the Jesus phone stemmed from the over the top rhetoric that essentially made it sound like the messiah. Certain individuals in the apple community have a distorted view of reality rivaled only by certain individuals in the Linux/FOSS community.

I had it on my Mogul too. Windows Mobile is nice, but it's just like it's desktop counterpart. Bloated and almost unusable. you had to wait for things to load. iPhone is instantaneous. Is awesome.


The lack of 3g is not that big of a deal really. I ditched Windows Mobile for the iPhone. Actually, Windows Mobile was SO unusable that I ditched it for my cheap old Samsung flip phone. I know WinMo isn't the highest on the 'pretty' UI awards, but I would hardly say it's 'that' unusable. I mean anyone who can read and has a brain can navigate around WinMo.

Personally, I'm one of the many that returned the iPhone because it just didn't do well for me. It played media real nice, but I also use my phone to do a ton of other stuff - stuff that the iPhone doesn't support, but at least WinMo does.

Who really cares if you can do it standard? you cant have custom apps without hacking on the iphone, whereas windows mobile is very happy with them, and i know for a fact Treo 750's and O2 atoms come with programs standard that all you need to do is activate. WinMo also syncs with exchange, has multiple input methods that are easily switchable (depending on the device) and has some very decent games.
