I was more than a little pissed off, since only she took a photo at the gathering) but I'm glad my A610 takes double As.

I also agree with the wide angle thing. I've been looking for a wide angle Canon with vari-angle LCD (I'm never getting another camera that doesn't have a flip-and swivel LCD, they're invaluable), but I've nearly given up and I'm considering replacing the A610 with a S5 IS and some conversion lenses (12x zoom with wide angle!). Hope Canon releases a S6 IS so the S5 price can come down a bit more~ ...Although I paid about the same for my A610 on discount (was a end-of-life display model) than what I'm going to be paying for the S5 if I buy now... :P

Sirius

Comments on Canon PowerShot A590 IS, A580, A470 round out new A-series

I am looking at the canon powershot cameras and am getting a bit confused because there are so many. I had one a couple of years ago from the A series which had the vari-angle LCD and the convertor lens adaptor. The camera got stolen but I've still got all the accessories (convertor lenses etc) and want to replace it. Does anyone know if there is a canon still out there with the option of convertor lenses and with the vari-angle LCD for a good price?

simone
