I'm waiting for the Nikon D400 (or something) next year, which will compete with the successor to the Canon 5D.

For now I'll plod along with my Nikon D200, Canon G7, Canon SD700, Sony DSC-H1, and Sony DSC-T200. And all their different freakin' battery chargers.

Fix some of the dodgier bits of the processing...allow zoom on videos if you pick it, or at least digitally..
