It sucks because Engadget is just peddling FUD with these stories and fueling fanboys rants in the comment section.

"...empty pocketbook in your future" great journalism guys! So is it overpriced for what you get or is Engadget just fueling the fire? The story had nothing to back it up so I guess its just sensationalism for the sake of traffic.

1) A lot of people dismissed the iPod. Most notably Rob Malda, aka CmdrTaco of Slashdot. It was mocked endlessly upon its original (Mac only) release because of the low market share at the time.

2) Anyone that is going to buy a MBA (or pre-ordered it online) doesn't care that we're "pissing the hell out of [you]".

3) It sounds like the MBA isn't the laptop for you.
