The 800x480 7 inch screen doesn't cut it for browsing on a lot of web sites. Every one is used vertical scrolling but having to scroll horizontally is a pain in the butt. Anyway, the form factor can definitely accommodate a 8 or 9 inch screen with a 1024x600 or higher. My cheap Nokia cell phone has a 320x200 resolution on a 2 inch screen. The Eee pc is a great little computer but the low resolution screen is definitely a major drawback. The current EEEPC has only 480 resolution. And competitors being stupid are also releasing screens with 480 resolution like it's the 90's revisited. If Asus wants to increase sales they need to dump the ghetto speakers and provide a decent screen with better resolution.<br>Big problem with the diamondville is performance. If someone can make a device with a high res screen, under 2 lbs, under $600, 2GB of RAM (why not, its dirt cheap these days), speedy 1ghz chip (Intel's A series 800mhz are NOT fast enough) with a reasonable keyboard, two USB, build in decent quality web cam, speakers and dual mics, bluetooth, wifi, SD slot, minimum 3 hours REAL WORLD battery life, 8GB SSD, running Linux, world (GSM based) 3G then I'm sold.
