Likely just some network hiccup. As far as i'm concerned the original AppleTV is useless, but once you've hacked it's the best HD source ever, as it's very easy to dump downloaded SD or HD content onto it. That is DVD quality but is not considered. HD.  Also, 1080i and 720p are different.  Some Network TV is in 720p and some is in 1080i.
