Yes you could use use it as a HD, however as Kyle Mentioned, they are no where near as fast as an SSD or a traditional HD and they have a limited number of writes that it can tolerate until it "wears out". the MTBF is pretty high on these cards compared to HDs which is why they aren't used as replacements for a real HD.
