I recommend tablets to anyone in a college degree that actually requires them to take notes. tx series is a low cost alternative to those full fledged tablet PCs..

I use the tx1000, loved it, as a cheap ultra portable... not as a tablet PC.. btw, I tried to trade up my tx1000 for a tx2000... they offer me $250... I'm like, sure... like how about no... then they said that offer will only valid for one week... so I asked if that means the following week I'm going to get a higher offer... Two big improvments I'd like to see:

Screen doesn't pale out in natural light

I have a few complaints, but for $1200, I can't complain one bit. It's light, small, and quick. Sure it may not be able to run really graphic-intense programs at lightning speed, but as a super-portable laptop for basic uses like internet, office, etc.. it is awesome.

Oh, but the speakers on the tx1000 series suck bad. The active digitizer is more accurate, easier to use, and has pressure sensitivity, which the passive system doesn't.
