Not a bad deal, especially considering I've been meaning to pick up a new PMP for awhile now. And the 405 always caught my eye for some reason. Are you really going to still be using the thing 5 years from now? Because I still have a working 3rd gen hard drive iPod, still works great, and yes, I still use it. And I know for a fact there are still working 1st gen ones too. And hey, take that $200 you saved from buying this instead of the iPod touch, and by the time the hard drive dies, you'll probably be able to pick up another Archos 405 for less than that!<br><br>Well made hard drives don't die that often. I've actually got consumer level drives (OEM Gateway) still functioning after over 12 years.
