Furthermore, businesses and simple folk alike prefer their internet decentralized so that they can administer and own their own sites (not just rent). The internet is, and always will be, a bunch of computers connected to each other through other computers and software. One tiny little problem IBM will have is that the Internet is growing at such a rate they'll probably never "capture" all of it, so how could they ever say they've achieved the first aim; of its construction?

As for the implications, what more could it do that can't already be done with sufficient bandwidth, data mining software, and a personal "super"-computer?

Things I think we should be considering;
• How to make the net more accessible; to young, old, disabled, poor.
• How to improve interface technologies.
• How to improve content>user protection (i.e. protecting children from accessing stuff that society believes they shouldn't yet see).
