Somehow their halt commands and throttling make the computer whine a lot. Disabling those makes it quiet but consumes loads of extra juice. Although it doesn't really need to run Vista as it bypasses all of the audio stuff anyway. The comment about the USB dac is true to. No need to drop the money on the sound card. The Vista comment probably means it runs media center, so that's a no go for me.
