The $40 plan offers far more than enough minutes for me with AT&T. I'm just pissed that the plans haven't droped bellow the $40 dollar price point. Cingular use to have a $30 dollar plan that had 250 minutes, but with rollover and free mobile to mobile too meany people used it. It was apparently too good a deal so they ditched it. Now, they want everyone to get data too to push the cost up (not down). Please oh please get a price war going!!!!

Zach

Comments on

First 4G wireless network in the US? Helio has the right mindset. I'm not sure where everyone is from. But where I'm from unlimited means limit less...Or without limits. So if you're going to switch, I don't see the advantage of going to Sprint over Helio. My calling plan is $65. Sure, it's only 500 minutes, but I never go close to that, and the real kicker is unlimited 3G data, which I use a lot more anyway. I can't imagine switching to verizon or AT&T and paying $100 "unlimited" then paying a for a data plan on top of that.
Now, if Helio can just manage to stay in business...

gb

Comments on

@LJW: Yeah, I looked into the Sero plan, it's tempting. Though, I'm not thrilled with the idea of not being able to do a family plan for my wife and I. Also, I really want a qwerty board and have never liked the crammed ones on the palms and such. I would much rather have something like the Rumor with the slide out keyboard but that doesn't have EVDO! A friend just got the Ocean, I'm going to check out his first hand. Plus, I like the idea of the beacon thing, and I still use myspace and facebook.

@gb: I know, data plans are $40 extra for me with AT&T! Ummm, no thanks!
