I don't drink, but I think a part of the "drunk driving" is just another ticket racket... after all most states in the US were forced last year to lower legal BAC again (because ticket revenues were dropping as people started following the law!) it's down to half what it was in the 70's, and people still say it's not enough. Of course it can't help irresponsible drivers...

It can help all other people that went to get a drink and are not sure if they can drive or not - you can feel able to drive and prove to be unable afterall.
