Mint green PSP now available, in Japan
We already knew it was coming, but if for some reason you've been holding out on buying a PSP until you could get a minty green model, you can now finally get your fix -- in Japan, at least. As DCEmu points out, however, you can also go the importing route courtesy of SuccessHK, where the brightly-colored handheld demands the slight premium of $228 (plus shipping, of course). Or you could just wait a bit, save a few bucks, and get the God of War model with a bunch of bundled goodies, your choice.

applefreak @ Feb 29th 2008 3:38PM

Aguiluz @ Feb 29th 2008 3:54PM
It's mint. My monitor is pretty fine. :)
MikeG @ Mar 3rd 2008 11:42AM

Either my monitor is calibrated wrong too, or that PSP is still missing the second analog controller.
Ellianth @ Feb 29th 2008 5:38PM
My monitor got replaced the other day and it is calibrated wrong. But that isn't minty. It's more of a powdered green.
james @ Feb 29th 2008 3:37PM
niiiice. My grandma will love that!
ijyt @ Feb 29th 2008 3:37PM
I'm seeing more mint blue than mint green.
Nate @ Feb 29th 2008 3:38PM
I don't think this color would fly over here.
Neebs @ Feb 29th 2008 3:57PM
It's fabulous!!1
holycow @ Feb 29th 2008 3:59PM
I'd rather save my green and get the RED PSP
holycow @ Feb 29th 2008 4:00PM
oh and put a FERRARI sticker on top of Kratos's face and fool people by saying i have a limited edition Ferrari PSP ^_^
foxdude0486 @ Feb 29th 2008 4:10PM
I dunno, I kind of like it. Easy on the eyes, but different. :)

I loved the black one. The white one looked ghostly. Then they released the "Disco" version sparkly and all. Then they had the silly Star Wars edition. The red GOW looks great. Minty green looks a bit too grammy for me. I already own a 1000 black version. I think purchasing the GOW version is in order.
Philster @ Feb 29th 2008 4:26PM
Mint Green? Why?
Black, yes! White, okay. Darth, hell yeah! Red Kratos, Sh*t, yes!
But... mint green? Why?
holycow @ Feb 29th 2008 4:40PM
I am guessing this one is targeted more to the female customers.
Will(The other will) @ Sep 19th 2008 3:41PM
Hey! What about the Madden NFL 09 Blue! It's still a nice PSP, I like it, I think it beats plain old-everyone-has-one black
Andrew @ Feb 29th 2008 4:31PM
It looks nice. I wouldn't be embarrassed to use one in public.
Taz @ Feb 29th 2008 4:58PM
I just ordered the Mint Green PSP Slim from Play Asia for cheaper
than that!
Can't wait to get it!!
Thermos14 @ Feb 29th 2008 5:00PM
It should come with a matching toothbrush.
tekdroid @ Feb 29th 2008 5:10PM
great-looking colour. I like.
required @ Feb 29th 2008 5:19PM
I like it. Very sterile, perfect for the emergency room.
Ellianth @ Feb 29th 2008 5:40PM
which is where you'll be headed when the battery explodes in your pocket.
Sry I couldn't resist :p.
fred @ Feb 29th 2008 6:58PM
how come japan gets all the good stuff. the us doesn't get anything.
Netmagix @ Feb 29th 2008 7:34PM
Sony must've remembered showing us about their environmental concerns and how painting a PSP mint green (might as well called it Aqua blue) is gonna save a polar bear!
Sam @ Feb 29th 2008 10:21PM
Finally
I have always wanted a PSP but i was always reluctant to spend my money on a console that wasnt even food colored
This should really give Sony the edge over the DS
Jacqueline @ Feb 29th 2008 10:34PM
So, am I right by stating that the box it comes in is considered an 'extra'?
LIMITED EDITION MINT GREEN! (shakes head) Nope, not razzing my berries.
ZeroCorpse @ Feb 29th 2008 11:59PM
In Japan.
That's one of the things that has ALWAYS pissed me off about Sony and Nintendo-- They make all these great colors for their consoles, and they rarely make them available in North America.
What is their problem with selling multiple colors in the North American and European markets? Is it some sort of Japanese favoritism?
bossmsx @ Mar 1st 2008 6:27AM
I actually *saw* the boxes already for sale last week at Yodobashi Akiba on my trip to Japan. Figured it was old news already and not worth telling anyone.
Nightmare @ Mar 5th 2008 1:07PM
i wouldnot even dare get rid of my silver 200 seires for a stupid mint green PSP, if there going to make a color everybody would like it ought to be somthing like blood red and black! Now that i would buy, as long as it is 2000 or better!
blissfultragedy @ May 2nd 2008 8:32AM
it's so unfair! how come the mint green psp is exclusive in japan?! helooo! there are some people in other countries who wants to buy them too!
