I stopped buying Toshitty after 4 out of 3 I originally bought (yes 4 out of 3!?) of them failed on me. After the fire, they replaced it with yet another one that never worked... and phone support was hell. The only saving grace (curse?) was that I bought their extended warrenty through ServiceNET which resulted in being on hold and arguing for 3 years! I would have been better off if Toshiba just mugged me point blank.

I said enough. All of my Toshitty laptops were kept in clean rooms and dust free. Their DELL, HP, and SONY equibilents in the same room never had a single glitch.

Steveorevo

Comments on Toshiba keeps 'em coming with the Satellite L300 / U400

I've never had a Toshiba break on me... even my 12 year old Portege ("designed for Windows 95") still runs fine.

However, if any other company decides to put analog volume controllers on their products, instead of those horrible unresponsive buttons, let me know.

This looks a bit less ugly than the A300... hopefully they're going to a less obtrusive speaker design.

Rob

Comments on Toshiba keeps 'em coming with the Satellite L300 / U400

Looks heavy too.

Well, when you own an Eee everything looks big and heavy to you lol.

Ricardo

Comments on Toshiba keeps 'em coming with the Satellite L300 / U400

I was thinking exactly the same.
