Why do companies bring products into a flooded market with nothing new to add?

The more companies that enter the market the more the major market share leaders are forced to try and innovate and keep that market share. I'm pointing out the obvious here, but apparently it sounds like it may not be that obvious to some. Players in Asia are inexpensive because they have to be.
