Nokia E90 gets some sparkle, feels a little uncomfortable about the whole thing
We're used to seeing fashion-centric devices bedecked in jewels all the time, but the E90 is pretty much exclusively the domain of the business set, and we're having a hard time imagining Joe Stock Broker going, like, totally crazy over this pimped version. The Nokia phone has been set with 408 diamonds and an 18 carat white gold shell by Peter Aloisson and retails for around $80k. Yeah, Joe Stocks is really going to flip. We have nothing more to add, other than our traditional, time-worn plea to Nokia: please release a 3G version of this in the States, we swear it's not too late.

In Soviet Russia, friends make YOU pay $80 000 if you miss their call.

Does it come with a furry purple fedora with peacock feathers? Yep, it's got class up the wazoo.

Ok so what if you do buy it. You will be scared not to loose it ur whole life.
aeo @ Mar 19th 2008 10:48AM
I don't think that even Joe Stocks would piss away 80G's on a phone. This is more the realm of rich, socialite retards like... well, you know.
Anthony @ Mar 19th 2008 11:23AM
I can't piss it away *now*! My Bear Stearns hedge is worth nothing! Damnit. I wanted a diamond encrusted E90 so bad I could almost taste the money I was going to make by screwing lower income folks through nefarious lending practices to get it.
agroupofletters @ Mar 19th 2008 10:53AM
Engadget, please; "not to late." => "not too* late."

Beat me to it. That's twice in less than 24 hours... I refuse to believe that MS Word doesn't have that sitting right in it's grammar set.
Jeff @ Mar 19th 2008 4:17PM
@Prokanda: i'm actually pretty sure that MS Word doesn't catch that... nor does Apple's built-in grammar check, and Pages' "Proofreader" doesn't catch it either.
not that it's any excuse.
Looks like good old fashioned manual proofreading might be the best solution.
Jeff @ Mar 19th 2008 4:20PM
@Prokanda: by the way, you were looking for "its" and not "it's" -- i refuse to believe that MS Word doesn't have that sitting right in ITS grammar set.
:)

It doesn't even look good, it detracts form the appearance of a not very attractive phone. It would be like a diamond studed HGV.
Pdexter @ Mar 19th 2008 12:34PM
There isnt a phone that looks good just because it has glued diamonds on it. Like that company that makes these gold plated iphones and diamond N95's...or is this E90 made by same people?
At least phones like Vertu in my opinion are a bit more classy than these norm phones that are full of gold, diamonds you name it.
I wouldnt personally ever buy more expensive luxury phone than Nokia's 8xxx series phones example Nokia 8600 luna(and those at least look good), but then i dont own a yacht.
AlphaTeam @ Mar 19th 2008 12:23PM
If you're going to diamond stud this, you mind as well take all the parts and dip it in platinum or gold!
