First off if you don't like the crapware reinstall the OS. Secondly Dell isn't doing this to go after Panasonic. Rugged laptops are a niche market at best. This is simply to give corp accounts the option of getting a rugged Dell if they need to deploy one in the field. And I hardly think that Panasonic is in a niche market. They're certainly not in the same category as HP/Toshiba/etc, but they're not unique either.
