Sony teases us with hot super-limited-edition MGS4 wireless headphones

If Metal Gear Solid 4 truly is the last game in the series (please please no), it's going to have gotten quite a send-off: a limited-edition gunmetal PS3 in Japan, a new $499 PS3 bundle in the rest of the world, the North American launch of the DualShock 3, and, uh, some wireless headphones. Well, not just any wireless headphones: a limited-edition run of Sony's hot 7.1-channel MDR-DS7000s, with different artwork on each can. Sadly, it doesn't look like these are going to be all that easy to get -- only 30 will be randomly handed out to those buying MGS4 bundles from the Japanese Konami store from now until June 1. Better get clicking, Sparky.

Whoa, gnarly. I already had nightmares for months after completing the MGS3 and that was with my lame TVs speakers. I can only imagine what the trippy sound effects and dialog of Kojima san's latest will do to the mind in 7.1

i rather have a full wall shaking surround sound system... But i can see the benefit for those with close quarters... I hope the headphones are bullet proof so that if you rob a bank, you cant get shot in the ears!! lol

I can't even find these headphones for sale here in the US, well, at least with a quick froogle search. It'd be nice to have the MGS Limited versions, but I've been looking for surround sound headphones for use with my Playstation 3 for weeks now, so even the standard version would suffice.
