For use during physical activity and/or work (with my job both categories go together), a rubber/vinyl/whatever or fabric band watch works better. Leather can make a HUGE statement. Take a look at a nice leather equipped Panerai, and you'll be a leather convert for sure. ;) I have a nice Shell Cordovan strap on my Panerai, and I loves it.
