P.S. -In a related side note, our old pals at Phone Scoop pinged us earlier this morning to let us know they've gone magenta for the day in an act of solidarity. Much love, Phone Scoop! Oh, and now so did Phone Arena, Fitch, and GearBits! Also, myself and some other eds are in on the action.

Wow, this is hilarious (like, off the charts hilarious) let's just hope Deutsche Telekom's legal department thinks so too. I don't know what I would do if big E were to disappear (*shudder* not even in my darkest hour will I consult Gizmodo).

I thought it was funny that when I loaded the engadget, t-mobile was being advertised in both boxes at the top. :-)

don't be a douche, copying a name is far different from "copying" a color - which they're not even copying in the first place!

Copying your name is very different from Engadget _NOT_ copying the same shade of magenta (trademark is very specific), and _NOT_ copying the color scheme ("mobile" isn't in magenta on t-mobile, it's the T that's magenta).
DT/T-mob are being bully's here. Plain and simple. And DT/T-mob deserve the bad publicity they're getting for it.
You'll also notice, Darius, that we explicitly said there's no point in fighting that kind of crap and we're not going after them. We thought it was just a funny thing, but apparently not everyone shares our sense of humor.
