I'm not criticizing those who hack their phones... I tried it once, back in the 1.0.1 days. 100% of the iPhones here (and there are MANY) must be hacked to work.

I've been using unlocked handsets for years, as I refuse to be told what tech I can use and what it's allowed to do. I'd own a iPhone in a heart-beat if I could get that same 1000 minute plan for $59! I checked with AT&T and, even with my corporate (premier) discount, I can only get 450 voice minutes and data for $59. How did you get 1000 minutes? Was that a limited time promotion?

I have one of the original iphones on v 1.0.2 and got it unlocked, its the AT&T American one and im in the UK. all is fine but I want to up-grade the firmware.

Has anyone tried doing this yet on the device listed above, if my iphone is already unlocked will I mess it up and brick it by using the software?

For those who need the 2.0 firmware to work with this , its on torrent's... google it.

I had At&T way before the iPhone and I was paying $59.99 a month for 900 anytime minutes. I called and asked what the cancellation fee was so I could go to another carrier, this other carrier (us cellular) offered 1000 anytime minutes for $39.99, so she talked to her supervisor and got me 1000 minutes for $39.99, then I bought my iPhone from an apple store and activated it, so it added $20 a month for the unlimited data. So viola, I have unlimited data+400 txt msgs+1000 anytime minutes+rollover (I have about 4000 minutes right now) for $59.99 a month.
