One of the pluses on the Mini Note is it's 92% keyboard, necessary if you're doing lots of writing. It's also built very rugged, since it was designed for the classroom enterprise, and it simply looks more professional than the Eee. Reviews on the device shows that while it's not a speed demon (when running Vista) it's also not a slug. As previously stated, it's not designed to handle video editing, heavy graphics like Photoshop, and other CPU intensive tasks. Some reviews say it doesn't multi-task well, others report no problems.

It's a little bigger and a little heavier than the Eee, but for the feature set, I think it's worth both the extra price and the extra weight for what I need to use it for. Continuing on that note, Atom has pretty bad performance reports of it's own, don't hold on it being a big step up in power.

In the end he product is more than the sum of it's parts. Great performance in a cheap body, or a well built long lasting body with adequate performance???
