The guy's entertainment set is facing the outside door, and there is no couch or anything even facing it. Where exactly do the people sit while watching that, outside?

There is a place to sit BESIDE the set, but that doesn't help to actually watch the thing, nor would it help when trying to control the players that are facing the outside as well.

That living room setup is terrible.
