Nyko intros "limited edition" Kama Wii nunchucks
Nyko's already let loose a wireless nunchuck and a cord-free adapter for your standard issue nunchuck, but if those options are a little too subdued for your taste, you may want to consider one of the company's new "limited edition" Kama models, which are also wireless and available in your choice of four colors of varying degrees of garishness. That includes gray, black, pink and gold (or gold details, it seems), each of which are limited to between 150 and 300 units and cost $35 each. Yes, that's a premium over the standard model, but just imagine the looks of adoration you'll get when you whip one of these out at your next Wii Sports tourney.

Update: Nyko's PR rep informs us that the limited edition Kama wireless 'chucks are in fact the same price as their standard wireless nunchuck ($35), which itself demands a premium over Nintendo's regular wired model.

I just stick to the wired nunchucks .
less battries to charge .
Ruben @ Apr 23rd 2008 7:12PM
... and the look of dread as you whip one of these at a brand new LCD tv. At least the tethered version is, well, tethered.

Actually I think it comes with a sporty pink or black lanyard to keep wrapped around your neck, this way only resulting in damaged teeth which is cheaper than your brand new HDTV.

I'm typing this on my iPod touch which is a bit of a chore, so I'll be brief:
These do not need to, or will ever need to exist.
Their very creation shakes me to my core and I weep at the sodomisation of the direction of the games.
Ok so that last paragraph was extreme but I wanted to use the words 'core' 'sodemy' and 'shake' as they do not normally befreind eachother in such close quaters in my vocabulary and I wanted a change.
These nunchucks however, still do not need to exist.

"Why were you so shaky when I mentioned hardcore sodemy?"
Even closer quarters.

I'm typing this on my laptop, so I'll point out the irony of adding a sentence to your comment explaining that you must be brief due to the constraints of using a portable device when if said device were really a hindrance (instead of you just wanting to show off the cool-factor of adding a comment from your iPod Touch) then you would have simply been brief, and excluded the explanatory sentence all-together...
;-)

boy you got me so wrong. I'm not an apple fan boy by any means. If you must know the crippled intern on the touch pisses me off as does apples attitude of telling me that I don't want flash etc hence why I jailbroke it.
I really didn't want to talk about apple in an irrelevant article but you brought it on yourself by making the wrong assumption about me
kr @ Apr 23rd 2008 8:33PM
He never said you were a fanboy. Way to freak out.
schmitty338 @ Apr 23rd 2008 9:39PM
@Esat
haha, I definitely was NOT calling you a fanboy...if you had said "...on my Shift" or HTc Touch, or whatever, my post would have been exactly the same except with said device name replaced by whichever device you were boasting to be using.
No offense meant, i know I always like to point out the coolness of the things i do on my new (or old) gadgets to people, much to their annoyance.
But really, I was just trying to think of a smartas$ way of pointing out the irony instead of the usual "The ironing is delicious" or "Oh the Irony..."...well excuuuuse me for trying to be original. ;-)

I'm typing this on my computer at work, so i better be brief to lessen the risk of me getting caught on engadget... ooops time's up

I must be brief, as I am typing this on my old IBM Selectric typewriter, and as soon as I finish commenting, I will have to run down the hall and put this on my secretary's desk, who will bring it to the nearest telegraph office and have it tapped into electronic signals which will end up on this thing they call the "Internet". But I digress.

I'd like the core of sodomy to shake itself from this discussion.
Anyway, I'm much more interested in third party Wiimotes. See if we can get some competition in that area.

Am I the only one whose first thought upon seeing those things was 'African tribal masks!' ?
webon @ Apr 23rd 2008 8:55PM
Yes,you are
they are meant to look like Aliens.
McFly @ Apr 24th 2008 3:09AM
i thought they're african masks too
Evil Bastard @ Apr 23rd 2008 8:51PM
I would buy one of the black or blue ones. I have never lost control of my Wiimote/Nunchuck and would have to worry about breaking a tv. The wire between the two on the classic setup has been the culprit of spilled beers.
CordFree @ Apr 23rd 2008 9:52PM
Actually, the $35 price tag for these "limited edition" babies is the same as the regular, "standard" edition. The only difference is that these are available now, as opposed to waiting until the middle of may for the "standard" white ones (they don't ship from Amazon until June 2). I picked up 2 myself -- no more getting smacked by the cords during Wii Sports boxing or No More Heroes!
Version 1.0 @ Apr 24th 2008 7:57PM
why does the gold-detailed one have a duck on it?
hiko36 @ Apr 25th 2008 3:00AM
To be utterly graphic for a second.....
Am I the only one that noticed that every one of those nunchuks, which are on a curve mind you, have the exact same lighting glare??? Come on photoshopists!!! Stop being lazy. Its only a couple of strokes with the clone tool.... That's what she said... sorry... Ill just quit now...
