The screen is alright. It's not the best quality in the world, but for the price, it's pretty decent. I don't know about the previous problems that you mentioned, but this one's as fine as it's gonna get, I think.

I hate Vista, trying to install XP, having problems with ATI driver - I can't find it! It seems there is no such driver anywhere
